Tips for Transitioning Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

Pushing all of our winter clothes to the back of the closet can definitely be exciting and refreshing, but it can also be a little sad. After all, many of us put in a lot of thought, a lot of money, and a lot of hours assembling the perfect wardrobe for the freezing temperatures. Finally hanging up that thick winter coat can be a relief, but that doesn't mean that you have to shove your entire winter wardrobe into storage as soon as the sun shows its face.

Springtime means plenty of time to put some of the winter clothes to use and to make the transition seamless and easy. We are going to help you find out which clothes you can pack away, which clothes you should keep around, and many more fresh winter-to-spring transition tips.

Wear Your Boots with Dresses

Don't put your winter shoes away just yet! You can still rock your stylish over-the-knee boots, ankle boots, and riding boots that you purchased and wore in the winter season! You can pair them up with your spring midi or maxi dresses, jeans or skirts, in order to stretch their wear a little bit more into spring. This is a great, fun look and will work for date night, girls' night out, or running errands while looking stylish.

Wear Your Blazer as a Jacket

The majority of us have those few blazers hanging in our closet. They might be yours, they might be vintage from your mother, or maybe you stole them from your husband or boyfriend. The springtime is the perfect opportunity to extend their use and style them up for the transition season! You should pick a well-tailored blazer, and underneath, you can wear a plain or graphic tee, a light sweater, or even a tank top. To make the look more comfortable, wearable, and less elegant, you can add some well-fitting jeans and fun sneakers.

Pair a Winter Sweater with Different Bottoms

Spring coming around doesn't mean that it is time to pack away your sweaters, because you can still use them in the early days of spring! You can pair your pretty, warm knits with pants, jeans, or skirts. If the day is hot, you can go for a lightweight sweater; but, if it gets too cold and too windy, you can go for a thicker sweater. If you can, always opt for cashmere sweaters since they are luxuriously soft, extremely breathable, and they regulate your temperature well so that you won't get too hot.

Choose a Classic Trench Coat for Your Outerwear

Classic trench coats are the perfect outwear pieces for transitioning from winter to spring. A trench coat is not too heavy, not too light, performs well in spring rain showers, and of course, looks super stylish and timeless! The best bet is to go for a timeless and traditional-colored trench in a nude khaki color . This coat is going to match with everything in your closet, and it will be the center of many spring outfits. You can wear a trench coat gently draped over your shoulders for a more casual look, or you can wear it belt it (which is fantastic for creating a waist).
